pop singer André Van Deun
His way to the stage
André Van Deun’s love for music has accompanied him for years. Yes, it was only 8 years ago that he came straight from the rehearsal basement onto the stage. Guido Eckhardt Schmidt himself, a long-time artist (actor, musician), discovered André Van Deun when he sang in front of a small audience. He was of the opinion that André Van Deun deserved more than to continue to languish undiscovered in the rehearsal cellar. It didn’t take much to convince André Van Deun of this idea to go on the big stage. André Van Deun quickly mastered this challenge. At first he only sang cover songs. This should change quickly in the future. Soon suitable titles were created for him in the TonART recording studio
How do André Van Deun’s own songs come about?
He, André Van Deun, provides a disposition in the form of a story that serves as a framework for the title. Robert Meister is a composer and takes the artist’s ideas for the type and style of music into account when creating a playback. As a songwriter, he writes the lyrics to match the music according to the instructions. See the article ⇒“TonArt Tonstudio” under Blogs.
The support of his discoverer always remained with him. This gave him instructions for performing on stage and how he should best organize his performances. He soon began receiving requests for performances. He noticed a few of them. Every performance is a milestone in his career as a singer. André Van Deun quickly finds access to the audience and he remains “himself”, a quality that the audience appreciates. André Van Deun sings hits with subgenres: rock, pop, fox and folk. He sings in both German and Dutch. Those who were enthusiastic about his performances have spread the word to friends and acquaintances. As a result, there were always new faces to be seen in the audience. André’s desire is the same as that of all other artists, to entertain the audience well.

Why does he sing in Dutch too?
He says: “It was just a coincidence”. He was always open to new things. At some point, he was browsing the internet and came across a post from a Dutch student from Amsterdam. He asked the question: “Do you want to learn Dutch?” Afterwards André heard V.D. watched some dialogues in Dutch and the language fascinated him. Without further ado, he started lessons. Later he also found an opportunity to complete a distance learning course. Which he then did. Today he writes, reads, speaks and sings Dutch. He regularly travels around the Netherlands from time to time. And he only speaks Dutch there. Dutch people are surprised to find someone who lives in Germany and speaks Dutch. Usually Dutch people adapt more and speak German. He already considers the Netherlands his second home.
